Making his MSA kart racing debut in the 2016 season, Salman is going to be competing in various Club Championships across the country, as he further builds his experience and race craft, ready to take on the National Championships in 2017.
The championships he will be racing in will be at local circuits Whilton Mill, Kimbolton and Shenington. These club events will be roughly once or twice a month, in order to keep him race sharp as the season proceeds.
Salman is racing in the Iame Cadet class, the most competitive and popular class in karting for drivers between 8 and 13 years old.
This class is renowned for being the best proven group for young drivers, to cut their teeth in the world of motorsport and more specifically in karting.
GW Motorsport is the race team that Salman competes with, a relatively new team in the indsutry, but have provided him with a solid platform, utilising a Wright Kart Cadet Chassis to help develop Salman as he races through the 2016 season.
At the end of the season, he will be moving up into racing Juniors, for the 12-16 age group - meaning larger karts and more powerful engines, something he is very much looking forward too.
Aside from Karting, Salman is a student at Aldenham and he enjoys playing football and photography as his hobbies alongside racing.

Salman qualified 2nd on the grid at Kimbolton, before kart issues hindered his progress in the final...
The seventh round of the Kimbolton Club Championship saw Salman compete in his fourth race of the year around the Hunts Circuit.
Salman hit the ground running after a great qualifying, setting the 2nd fastest lap of the session - just 0.01s off pole position!
Salman would then start his heat from 2nd in class, in a race that the IAME and Honda Cadet classes were merged together.
This combined grid mixed up the order throughout the race, as the IAME's had to start behind the Honda's.
Coming through the pack proved tricky, as Salman lost track with the leaders in the traffic, as he finished his heat 4th in class.
The Pre-Final was once again mixed up with the two cadet classes. Once again coming through the grid was no easy feat, as Salman still building his experience once again finished 4th in class - Meaning he would start the final from the outisde of the second row.
The Final saw Salman maintain his position for the opening laps, albeit he appeared to be struggling with the kart, lapping much slower than he did earlier in the weekend. He was then embroiled in a battle with a rival driver for 5th positon - they swapped places numerous times, before Salman was just pipped at the post and finished the race in 5th position.
Salman's next event will be at Whilton Mill on the 27-28 August.
